Introduction to Promoting Rule of Law, Defending Human Rights

Coalition for the International Criminal Court

Universal Jurisdiction

WFM is a leading force among citizens groups working for the rule of law in world affairs, and a system of justice for protecting universal human rights. In advocating for a world order capable of maintaining peace, WFM calls for an international system of law and justice that regulates relations between nations, prevents nations from going to war, fosters settlement of disputes and enforces treaty compliance. WFM advocates for the fundamental strengthening of international law and global institutions to protect human rights throughout the world. Despite the determination of many nation-states to prevent large -scale human rights abuses following the second world war, the 20th century was the most war-ravaged century in history. Strengthened and universal international laws that prohibit those horrific crimes are the only means to deter future atrocities and bring justice to victims.
