The International Secretariat (IS) is the administrative and coordinating body of WFM and the global network of Member and Associated Organizations. The IS serves and directs six programs and both the Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC) and the Responsibility to Protect - Engaging Civil Society (R2P-CS) projects. These programs and projects are strengthened and enhanced by the participation and support of the WFM Organizations. The IS helps coordinate these programs and disseminates information to our members around the world.

“The International Secretariat is co-located in New York near the UN Headquarters and The Hague, The Netherlands.”

Each year the IS organizes a Council Meeting in conjunction with one of its Member Organizations. This meeting gives direction to the global Movement and allows indivduals from a diverse background of organizations to share their experiences of the past year. WFM uses the expertise of each of its members to further its goal of world federation.

Originally based in Amsterdam, the International Secretariat is now co-located in New York near the UN Headquarters and The Hague, The Netherlands. The International Secretariat also has project offices in Argentina, Belgium, Benin, Nigeria, The Philippines and Yemen.
